MONSOON RAINS
This month as a family we experienced so tangibly how God threw open the
flood gates of heaven and poured out so much blessing that we literally have
run out of room for it. Typing this as a thunderstorm rages all around me and
baby N sleeps soundly in his cot. This season has been truly a torrent of
blessing, let us share how and why.
Beginning with
news of N's heart condition encouraging texts have been pouring in non-stop.
Mums and dads whose kids have had similar cases plus miraculous closures.
Friends who send verses and prayers that really serve to boost our faith on low
days via texts, WhatsApp and social media platforms. Random people whom we
barely know pledging to pray for us monthly, weekly and even daily! How blessed
we are to be in your prayers.
More incredibly,
right before we went to our first specialist appointment someone gave us a sum
of money she felt the Lord told her to give. And that turned out to cover the
entire consultation almost exactly. It can only be His leading and providence.
But above and
beyond financial gifts, we have been receiving clothing for N in an abundance.
Onesies, pyjamas, socks and even jeans so much so we haven't had to buy him a
single thing thus far. People have even volunteered to buy diapers, milk powder
and more. Not to mention the hand-me-downs coming from the many thoughtful
parents in our community. Bouncers, bottles, warmers and so much more.
Our hands are full but
more so our hearts. We have been so humbled by witnessing how God protects and
provides for those who trust in Him. With each passing heart review, our faith
is strengthened whenever the doctor says the hole is not getting any larger,
the operation can be delayed. And so in ways like these and through people like
you, God renews our faith and increases our dependence on Him as a family.
Do continue to remember
Jonathan especially in his last five week of this school term. Assignments and
tests are starting to pick up speed, meaning sleep is even further depleted.
Pray for him that God will multiply his rest and strengthen the work of his
hands as he holds the fort of our family. Also please pray for Mya who has been
in and out of various illnesses, may she recover completely! More importantly,
we need Mya to be well, so Nathan does not catch any viruses at this vulnerable
stage. Finally pray that as Nathan and I stay home, we will begin to find a
good schedule to keep to so that days and night are clearly demarcated and so
that I can begin some work from home.
Thank you for reading our prayer updates, we cannot run this race without you!
Grateful,
Jonathan, Amy
Mya + Nathan
