NO SACRIFICE

This school holiday past, I (Amy) found myself spontaneously sharing with a few teacher friends during the school holiday about this new phrase of seminary life. After they got over their surprise, remarks that followed all centered around the great sacrifices we were making as a family and concerns about financial challenges etc.

This is no sacrifice.

And no, I'm not making a noble famous missionary type statement like 'If Jesus be God and died for me, then no sacrifice can be too great for me..." CT Studd.

I am honestly and simply telling you the truth of the matter. Being called to Seminary, having the joy of studying His word day after day and surrounded by God-fearing individuals is a huge privilege. Why would anyone consider this a sacrifice? Or rather, what are we sacrificing? To this question, I have no answer.

Even then, this month, we want to give God much glory and thanks because indeed before a word of prayer is uttered from our lips, He knows it completely.

A kind relative has been renting us his spare car for a certain amount of money for the last four months. And somehow, without making this known, individuals have been prompted to give an the exact sum month after month. Always a few days before the date for payment, never a day late. Most surprising of all, on the day we were meant to return the car to an offered buyer, the deal somehow fell through! And a week later, someone decided to help us with the car loan and so now we have a car! What a luxury!

Three months before school started, we were scrambling for a Childcare for Mya. Many said it was too late and registration was closed. Others did not meet our requirements which we then prayerfully submitted to the Lord. In the end, a friend had decided to open a franchise Childcare together with two young mums and they were more than happy to take Mya in. To top this off, my (Amy's) mum had decided to retire this year so she very generously offered to care for Mya before the opening date.

New Lego everywhere!

Then just this School Holiday week Jon's cousin calls saying she has some toys for Mya. We head over to their house and it turns out to be boxes and boxes of Lego, books, animal figurines and so much more. After selecting a handful suitable for Mya, we packed up bags and set out to bless others with new-old toys. Seven different families have received new toy cars, books, dinosaurs and many more! How blessed we are that we can bless others!

You see how this has been an insane journey of God's amazing provision?

Our little family is left too awed for words. And may you be blessed too as you see His hand in our lives and also in your own!

Thank you for praying alongside. We cannot finish this race without your partnership.
